History
The single-varietal range from Adega Camolas is born from the concept of producing wines exclusively from grape varieties that are uncommon in the Setúbal Peninsula region, in order to highlight the unique characteristics of this region’s terroir. This reflects how the combination of climate, soil, topography, altitude, and temperature, along with the amount and consistency of sunlight, rainfall, wind, and humidity, all contribute to creating wines of distinctive specificity. It is a set of factors that influences vineyard performance, in which the quality of the harvested grapes ultimately plays a fundamental role in the final personality of the product—like a signature of each wine-producing region and its producer, expressed through the adopted winemaking methods. The visual identity created for this range is inspired by the tributaries of the Sado River, the contour lines of the landscape, and the characteristics of the vine leaves of each selected grape variety, making every bottle unique.
Wine Pairing
An ideal wine to accompany oven-roasted meat dishes such as goat, turkey, and pork. It also pairs well with grilled or stone-cooked beef, fondue, rich and buttery cheeses, and cured meats. Its complexity also allows it to complement chocolate and vanilla desserts.
Winemaker Notes
It displays a deep and intense color, with remarkable complexity on both the nose and palate. It reveals aromas of ripe fruit, dark forest berries, and jam, with smoky notes and abundant spices such as vanilla, coffee, and chocolate, along with floral hints of violet. The tannins and acidity are well balanced, leading to a long and persistent finish.
