History
Camolas Grande Reserva 2023 was born from a clear and ambitious goal: to create a wine designed to mark a new era, elevating the name of the house and celebrating the excellence of our region in the art of producing great red wines. This is the first Grande Reserva from Adega Camolas. To honour this historic milestone, a truly exclusive and limited Magnum 1.5L edition was created, with a black label and seal, a symbol of distinction, refinement and celebration. A wine made for special occasions, for collectors and for those seeking unforgettable wine experiences. Camolas Grande Reserva is more than a wine: it is the statement of Adega Camolas’ commitment to creating benchmarks, elevating the region and leaving a legacy.
Wine Pairing
Ideal for intense, structured dishes, including meats served with sweet forest berry sauces or muscat reduction. Pairs perfectly with herb-crusted lamb rack with black pepper, grilled dry-aged beef with pink peppercorns, duck magret, grilled wild boar or wild boar stew. Also excellent with intense cheeses and premium smoked products such as pata negra, cured sausages and chorizo.
Matches well with full-bodied vegetarian dishes based on wild mushrooms, black truffle and aged cheeses, such as porcini and parmesan risotto, polenta with mushrooms sautéed in red wine, or layered vegetables with cured cheese. Perfect with dark chocolate and red berry desserts, such as chocolate mousse with sea salt and grape brandy.

Winemaker Notes
It shows a deep opaque ruby colour with violet reflections, very intense. A wine of great complexity and exuberance, powerful on both nose and palate. On the nose, ripe black fruit stands out alongside well-integrated oak, gaining definition with oxygenation.
On the palate it reveals plum, blackberry and blueberry, with jam notes and a balsamic eucalyptus character. It also shows spices such as black pepper, along with chocolate, coffee, vanilla, smoky notes, tobacco and oak. Firm tannins, great volume and structure. Extremely long and persistent finish.
